Space age bachelor pad OGs Stereolab are back to dropping new music whenever the feeling is right, and that’s a beautiful thing to witness. Last year, they returned with Instant Holograms On Metal Film<\/a><\/em>, their first new album in 15 years, and they followed it with the double single<\/a> “Fed Up With Your Job” b\/w “Constant And Uniform Movement Unknown.” Today, they’re letting the world hear two new songs.<\/p>\n Previously, Sterelab’s tracks “Cloud Land” and “Flashes In The Afternoon” were available on a tour-only single, but they never showed up online until now. Both tracks are in the six-minute range, and that’s historically a great place for Stereolab songs to be. “Cloud Land” is a vast epic with awesomely wormy synths and cool percussive breaks, while “Flashes In The Afternoon” is a playfully chintzy instrumental that messes around with old-timey easy-listening sounds.
