On Friday, February 13, the legendary musician, 68, released his fourth EP as part of his 50 Years From Home<\/em> series, and the title track \u201cDown At The Borderline\u201d featured Wilson, 33.<\/p>\n

In the song \u2014 written by Gill and songwriter Liz Rose<\/strong> \u2014 the Country Music Hall of Famer and the \u201cHeart like a Truck\u201d hitmaker sings about Thibodaux, Louisiana.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe dance to the Cajun fiddles \/ Have ourselves a real good time \/ There\u2019s a chance we\u2019ll drink just a little \/ Down at the borderline, way down at the borderline,\u201d the pair sing in the chorus.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce I set it in Thibodaux I asked Lainey to come sing on it,\u201d Gill revealed per American Songwriter<\/em><\/a>. \u201cShe graciously said yes, and she killed it! I didn\u2019t know if she\u2019d be up for that; it\u2019s hard to get somebody when they\u2019re knocking it out of the park like she is, but she did, and I love the sound of our voices together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Wilson gushed that \u201creleasing a song with Vince Gill is truly a dream come true,\u201d according to American Songwriter<\/em>.<\/p>\n
