Former Royals players and fans are still in shock<\/a> over the untimely death of Terrance Gore.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Gore\u2019s wife, Britney, shared more about what happened in an interview with WMBB-TV in Panama City, Florida.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cHe went in for an emergency surgery<\/a>. He had his appendix removed. He came out of surgery and was doing OK,\u201d Britney Gore told the station. \u201cAnd he had some complications after, possibly with the anesthesia, and went into cardiac arrest.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Gore, who played on the Royals\u2019 2015 World Series championship team, died on Feb. 6. He was just 34 years old.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A visitation will be held Friday<\/a> from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Southerland Family Funeral Home in Panama City. A celebration of life is planned for Saturday at 1 p.m. at Highland Park Baptist Church, also in Panama City.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Gore played at Gulf Coast State College in Panama City.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Britney Gore told WMBB-TV she would like for players and coaches to wear jerseys to the services. That will be a sweet tribute.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cTerrance loved the game of baseball<\/a>, and that was his true passion,\u201d she said in the story. \u201cIt\u2019s only fair to celebrate him in what he loved.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Gore will be laid to rest next week in Georgia, where he grew up. A visitation will be held on Feb. 20 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.<\/a> at the Richard R. Robinson Funeral Home in Macon, Georgia.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n On Feb. 21, a celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. at the Jones County High School in Gray, Georgia. An interment service will follow at the Mount Calvary Baptist Church Lakeside Cemetery in Macon.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Northstar Church in Panama City is raising money for Gore\u2019s wife and children.
