Halle Berry has recently opened up about her experience battling sexism in Hollywood.<\/p>\n

The actress, who plays Sharon role in her new thriller Crime 101<\/i>, revealed why she was drawn to the new character.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have an opportunity here to put in film something that I’m wildly passionate about personally,\u201d said the 59-year-old in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly<\/i>. <\/p>\n

Halle continued, \u201cAnd that’s not always the case when you take on a character.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes they’re so far from you. It’s nice to get into a new skin and experience something different, but this was so me,\u201d explained the Catwoman <\/i>actress.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the interview, Halle mentioned that the scene where her character called out her sexist boss was somewhat \u201csatisfying\u201d moment for her.<\/p>\n

When asked if she ever stood up for herself in her career, the actress replied, \u201cOh, yes. A really famous one, when I got to tell Bryan Singer just where to go and how to get there on the set of X-Men<\/i> one day.\u201d<\/p>\n

She told EW<\/i>, \u201cIt’s one of the greatest days on a set, telling someone who was wronging the entire crew, the entire cast, exactly where to go. And then I got on a plane and flew home with my X-Men<\/i> suit on.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
