An SUV has been seized as part of the investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As officers searched the vehicle, they were seen removing something from its trunk, which witnesses said looked like a “body bag.” However, this is pure speculation, as nothing has been confirmed or denied by the authorities yet.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The car, which had its number plate covered, was then towed away from the scene at approximately 12:45 am local time, with officers swiftly following behind.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As the search was taking place, news spread of a SWAT operation in the Shadow Hills area of Tucson. During the raid on a residential property, two people were detained by police.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Additionally, one witness alleged that someone shot themselves at the raid, but this has not been confirmed by law enforcement officials.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Speaking about the raid, Chris McDonough, a retired Southern California<\/a> homicide detective, clarified to NewsNation, “When someone is detained, it means they’re not under arrest. The reason for that is to conduct further interviews, collect forensic evidence without having to put the individual into a custody situation.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Furthermore, local resident Peter Molk described how the substantial law enforcement deployment had unsettled the community.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“It’s making everybody nervous. It’s just surreal, and we just can’t imagine how the family is processing all this,” he stated, characterizing the situation as “unbelievably absurd.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The sender initially requested one Bitcoin, valued at around $65,000, but increased the demand to align with the FBI’s doubled reward of $100,000. In the most recent message, the individual suggested an upfront payment of $50,000 in Bitcoin in exchange for “the name of the main individual along with his information for you to track,” as per the email.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
