But we won\u2019t quit. We\u2019re going to find Nancy. We\u2019re going to find this guy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The update arrived shortly after authorities believed they had received a break in their investigation after they <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/11\/us-news\/nancy-guthrie-kidnapping-person-of-interest-carlos-released-after-being-detained-by-police\/\">detained a delivery driver<\/a>, Carlos Palazuelos, for questioning on Tuesday. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos admitted the search for Nancy Guthrie could take \u201cyears\u201d on Friday.  <span class=\"credit\">James S. He was released shortly after. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis has to to be it, the evidence, everything\u2019s there,\u201d Sheriff Nanos told the outlet on Friday, reflecting on what he called a fleeting high in the 13-day search.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cThen you talk to people, you learn, you do your search, and you think, \u2018Maybe not.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s exhausting, these ups and downs,\u201d the Sheriff continued before promising that the investigation will continue on. \u201cBut we will keep moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The update came after authorities believed they\u2019d hit a break in their case on Tuesday.  <span class=\"credit\">Rebecca Noble for NY Post<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Police detained a delivery driver for questioning only to quickly learn he was unaware of journalist Savannah Guthrie or her mother.  <span class=\"credit\">REUTERS<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In the most recent updates, authorities revealed on Friday that officers <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/02\/13\/celebrity-news\/investigators-collect-dna-from-nancy-guthries-home-that-doesnt-belong-to-anyone-close-to-her\/\">collected DNA evidence<\/a> from Nancy\u2019s residence that did not belong to anyone in \u201cclose contact\u201d with the grandmother. <\/p>\n<p>Without sharing where the evidence was located, a spokesperson for the Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department said \u201cInvestigators are working to identify who it belongs to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week, it was reported that law officials\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/02\/10\/celebrity-news\/authorities-in-nancy-guthrie-disappearance-collecting-dna-from-employees\/\">took DNA samples from hired workers<\/a>\u00a0around Nancy\u2019s residence.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>On Friday, police collected DNA evidence from Nancy\u2019s residence that did not belong to anyone in \u201cclose contact\u201d with the Guthrie matriarch. <span class=\"credit\">Andy Johnstone for CA Post<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>That same day, at least four people were detained for questioning in connection to the case.  <span class=\"credit\">California Post<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>On Friday night, at least <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/02\/14\/celebrity-news\/3-people-detained-after-swat-team-raids-home-near-nancy-guthries-house-report\/\">four people were detained <\/a>for questioning as the investigation into Nancy\u2019s purported abduction drags on into its second week. <\/p>\n<p>A SWAT team with the Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department swarmed a home and vehicle located near Nancy\u2019s property and executed a search warrant on the home after receiving a tip. <\/p>\n<p>As a result, two men and one of their mothers were taken into custody.
