On Monday, February 23 at 7 PM, the Department of Music presents NETWORK FOR NEW MUSIC \u201cDark Whimsy: Edward Gorey at 100\u201d. Inspired by author and illustrator Edward Gorey\u2019s “The Gashlycrumb Tinies”, Carla Kihlstedt\u2019s song cycle “26 Little Deaths” for singing violinist and chamber orchestra builds a macabre soundscape that expands on the world of this morbidly humorous alphabet book. This concert will be held in the Michael Jaharis Recital Hall and is free and open to the public.
