OUR NAMELESS BOY\u00a0<\/strong>have released a new music video!<\/p>\n Bristol\u2011based alt\u2011rock band OUR NAMELESS BOY<\/strong> have released a new track, (Not In My Name)<\/strong>, alongside an accompanying music video. The track marks the second single from their upcoming EP Thorns<\/strong><\/a>, which is set for release on April 10th via Bandcamp and April 17th on all other platforms.<\/p>\n Speaking about the new song, vocalist and guitarist Iain Gorrie<\/strong> explains, \u201c(Not In My Name)<\/strong>\u00a0highlights the hollowness I often perceive in political speeches and discourse; that there are certain things that almost shouldn\u2019t need to be said, and then when they are, it feels like there\u2019s no substance or action to back those words up.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n He continues, discussing the video, \u201cwith the video for \u201938<\/strong> being very cinematic, with (Not in My Name)<\/strong> we wanted to stick to a more performance based video. Our good friend, videographer and I, THE LION<\/strong>\u00a0singer, Chris<\/strong> Evans<\/strong>, suggested using mirrors as the main aesthetic, and we quite liked that we could metaphorically hold these mirrors up to the main character in the song, who is using their platform to publicly denounce the actions of others whilst doing nothing to actually counter such actions; \u2018mirroring\u2019 the kind of posturing we often see from politicians in the House of Commons.
