Oasis are set to debut new music on a 2027 tour.<\/p>\n
\nThe band reunited for a string of sell-out stadium shows last year after a 16-year absence and while they are not planning to hit the road again until next year, fans will be excited for the gigs because they’ll get to hear the Wonderwall hitmakers’ first new songs since 2008 LP Dig Out Your Soul.<\/p>\n
\nA source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper’s Bizarre column: \u201cNoel and Liam are taking a well-deserved break from the road this year to recuperate.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cBut they know the fans are hungry for more so they want to strike while the iron is hot.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nWhile recovering from their tour, the band will be spending time in the recording studio.<\/p>\n
\nThe insider added: \u201cNoel has been busy writing and they have all year to record. He was really inspired last year and is full of ideas.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAccording to the report, Miles Kane will support Oasis at several dates on the 2027 tour.<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Noel Gallagher recently confirmed he has been back in the recording studio and joked he would need to get some songs out soon after being “shamed” over the backlash to him receiving the Songwriter of the Year prize at the upcoming Brit Awards.<\/p>\n
\nHe told TalkSport: \u201cI\u2019m in the studio now, but I better put something out. I\u2019ve been shamed.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe guitarist speculated he is only being given the honour because the ceremony is being staged in his home city of Manchester for the first time.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: “I haven\u2019t written a song for two years. I\u2019m not sure how I\u2019ve got away with that one but I\u2019ll take it.<\/p>\n
\n“To be honest I think they were just desperate to get someone from Oasis up there because it\u2019s Manchester. Our kid said he\u2019s not going.”<\/p>\n
\nWhen it was pointed out some are questioning why he has won the gong when he hasn’t penned any new tracks, he added: “Well, I think the Brits is all based on record sales.<\/p>\n
\n“We sold a million records last year. Didn\u2019t even get off the couch and I\u2019m not sure there\u2019s a songwriter that can match that.<\/p>\n
\n“But you know, if anybody\u2019s got a problem with it, meet me there. We\u2019ll have it out on the red carpet.”<\/p>\n
\nNoel also joked: “If any of those wet-wipe songwriting teams, all 11 of them, want to write a song between the lot of them, want to have it out on the red carpet, I\u2019m there.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
