A royal commentator has revealed that the British Parliament may step in to remove the former Prince Andrew from the royal line of succession amid the fallout from the release of the Epstein files.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
While Andrew recently moved out of Royal Lodge, following the release of new Epstein files<\/a> with the disgraced royal now being accused of abusing his position as a U.K. trade envoy. The Daily Express U.S. spoke exclusively with Brittani Barger, co-founder of Royal News, about what to expect, who said: \u201cI don’t see Andrew getting any allowance or living anywhere near William and his family. To be removed from the line of succession, that would require an Act of Parliament<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWith everything changing as more Epstein files are released, I wouldn’t rule out Parliament acting before William becomes monarch,\u201d she explained.\u201cThe Epstein files continue to make things worse for Andrew as more information is revealed about his relationship with him,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Parliament has already become involved with Andrew and there have been more recent calls for legal action. In October 2025, MPs lodged a parliamentary motion calling on the U.K. government to introduce legislation to formally remove Andrew’s remaining titles, including his Dukedom.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n More recently, MPs have called for Andrew to be questioned under oath by Parliament, particularly after evidence suggested he may have shared confidential information with Jeffrey Epstein while acting as a U.K. trade envoy. \u201cWith police looking into allegations, things may go from bad to worse for Andrew,\u201d said Barger.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Thames Valley Police confirmed they are reviewing information regarding documents allegedly sent by Andrew to Epstein in 2010, while Andrew was acting as a U.K. trade envoy. Police have engaged with the Crown Prosecution Service to determine if a formal investigation is warranted.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n King Charles has indicated he will “support” the police in their inquiries into these new claims.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI don’t know that he can get out of this. These are very serious allegations,\u201d said Barger. It comes as the heir apparent has made his feelings about his uncle quite clear.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Royal expert Ian Pelham Turner told The Daily Express U.S. that William does not like interacting with Andrew,<\/a> and it’s becoming increasingly apparent because it’s so hard for William<\/a> to hold it in.”Russell Myers\u2019 new book is quite correct on rows between Prince William and his father, King Charles, especially over the subject of Andrew and his removal from royal circles after the 2019 Newsnight <\/em>television appearance,” he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n “Personally, I feel William has become far more adversarial toward his father in recent times, Pelham Turner added. “One notable story was the King had to order William to go to the late Pope\u2019s funeral to represent the Royal Family after William did not want to go.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cTherefore, it does not surprise me that in the end Charles had to quell William\u2019s ambitions and appetite for total censorship of Andrew after the ill-fated interview, after the Queen had intervened to calm the situation down,” he added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Andrew has always consistently and strenuously denied any wrongdoing.
