Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens \u2014 the husband of Olympic gymnastics legend Simone Biles \u2014 held onto the ball<\/span> bag while in Milan to watch the 2026 Winter Olympics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Owens, who has been spotted watching various Milan Cortina 2026 events with Biles, revealed on X that he thwarted<\/a> an attempted bag snatch while shopping in the Italian city.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cNot somebody just tried to snatch my shopping bag in Milan,\u201d he wrote. \u201cForce of habit I had it tied around my hand so he couldn\u2019t get it and took off running immediately\u2026.but still crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In follow-up replies, Owens said it was \u201chilarious how slow<\/a>\u201d the would-be thief \u201cstarted running away once he saw he couldn\u2019t grab it out of my hand.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The man\u2019s arms \u201cwere moving faster than his legs<\/a>,\u201d Owens added. \u201cShould\u2019ve seen his face once he realized i turned around and he couldn\u2019t grab it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Owens said he\u2019d been \u201cprepared,\u201d having \u201cseen too many TikTok\u2019s<\/a>\u201d about similar incidents \u2014 and made sure there was \u201cno way he could get it off my hand.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
