Kablaow. Kaboom. Rest in peace my granny. She got hit by a bazooka.” So in just a few weeks, “Bazooka” has established itself as one of the most durable meme records of the year. When I first heard it, I wasn’t sure if this was the purest distillation of cross-generational trauma that I’d heard in a pop song in a long time, or if it was just jokes. So whatever the actual answer to that is, it was quickly taken up as a comic meme. “Grandma what happened.” “I got hit by a bazooka.” There are endless remixes, new versions, alternate takes that have been popping up, seemingly every day. I’m talking Indian classical. I’m talking Midwest emo. I’m talking John Williams-style orchestral score. I’m talking a cappella. I’m talking Grateful Dead. So this is a song that lends itself really well to exaggerated reaction. You have these really ethereal, soothing synths that kind of provide a bed for the record, but underneath, there’s this nervous, skittish drum pattern that kind of feels like it’s grabbing you. And of course, there’s the hook. It’s hard to hear this hook and not laugh a little bit. It’s hard to hear this hook and not feel a little bit of sadness about something that you might have gone through, and it’s hard to hear this hook and not sing along. “Kaboom. Kablaow.” In that way, it reminds me a little bit of SahBabii’s “Pull Up wit ah Stick.” Really, really dark subject matter. But there’s something about the sweetness of a melody in his voice that left you in this kind of confused, torn state. And then, naturally, it’s hard not to think of One of the things I like so much about the high memeification of this song is that it’s created another viral star. Let’s talk about DancingBones07, a Navy veteran who does these kind of interpretive, highly expressive, lot of motion dance videos. Sometimes offbeat. I watch his videos, and I think a lot about people who use dance or comedy or music as a way of dealing with pain. When you watch him, you see there’s something inside that’s really, really needing to get out. There are people who are seeing “Bazooka” as music. There are people who are seeing “Bazooka” as comedy. There are people who are seeing “Bazooka” as dance. But I actually think everybody is seeing it as therapy. I’m going to put some of my own life through. You owe it to your friend. This feels like I have you share my heart. It’s terrifying, but I’m doing this. I love my song. But I keep trying to be. Every time I kiss it. Maybe I can do the song of breaking down. Hey. Let me, let me. I’ve been confused as of late. Yeah, but you mind. You step away. You’re like. You wake me up but you drive me up. One of the things I enjoyed the most about the high meme ification of bazooka is that it actually created another viral stock, dancing bonds. Oh seven bazooka has become something of a muse for him. In that way, it reminds me a little bit of saw babies pull up with a stick. Really, really dark subject matter. But there’s something about the sweetness of a melody in his voice that left you in this kind of confused, torn state. Who? That is what that was. Oh. That. Crazy. Oh, shit. What a fuck that a wit. What the fuck? They had a where the fuck you on the beach? Every time I close my eyes, I’m drunk. He’s about that place. Every time I close my eyes, I think about how they did. You quit? I don’t know what you want me to go. You’re gonna fly. You’re gonna die. Cruel homicide. When I think about you, if you decide to go, I want you. Don’t rest in peace, my granny. She got hit by a bazooka. Yeah, I think about it every time I hit the hook of kaboom could blow kaboom. I was in my room trying to teach my little sister. Then I heard her. For me, this sounded like a missile. Whoo! That is what that was. Oh. That. Granny. Oh, she died just for. Just wash as much as just five shots fired. Shots fired. Completely. I take those kaboom! Black. Yeah. Oh. Okay, good. So, bazooka in just a few weeks has become kind of one of the most adorable meme songs in recent memory. I first encountered it right after the beginning of the year, and when I heard it, I wasn’t entirely sure if it was maybe the purest distillation of cross-generational trauma that I had heard in a pop song in quite some time, or if it was just jokes. But the meme universe came to the rescue and made it clear that from low to Low remix, the remix comedy skit to animation skit bazooka is one of the most dour and. Redacted. But that. I just think it’s because this it’s going naturally away from my neck. So I put it lower. Now that’s. You want to. Look out for the. Maybe something on the end of the boat. Yeah, yeah. Cowbell! Kaboom! Kabam. Kaboom! Boom! Rest in peace. The granny. She got hit by a bazooka. God, think about it. Every time I hit the Coca Cola moon to blow kaboom. I was in my room trying to teach my little sister. Then I heard a boom, and it sounded like a missile. Who? That is what? That was. Oh. That’s pretty. Oh, shit. Done. What the fuck they you do with. What the fuck they hit it with the fuck you punch up to the beach. Every time I close my eyes, I’m drawing plays about that place. Every time I close my eyes, I think about how they did it. Quick. Sorry, Kenny. For them, I have the going for never forget. I don’t know what you want me to do. Homicide. When I think about you. And he goes like you go go go go. If you was our neighbor, who would you do? Our penguin party. Granny. Are you fucking granny? Hell yeah. Up in the fucking sky. Art degree. I fucking love you. Come on, come on. Oh! So good. Oh, good. I know I lost my father to my. Lady, I was good cause. What the fuck, you bitch? I come from Azerbaijan. I don’t think about. Rest in peace, my granny. She got hit by a car. Someone kaboom! Come blow. Kaboom! Rest in peace, my granny. She got me about the super that. Kaboom could blow. Kaboom. I was lucky, this is my. This is good. When I heard of that is what it was that you. Yeah. Think about it. Every time I look up your poor compound, the kaboom. Oh! Kaboom! It could blow the whole. So, bazooka has been a sort of unusually durable meme. And over the last few weeks, it’s one of those records that came around the end of it. It’s a record that came around the end of the year, and when I first heard it, I couldn’t quite tell if it was the purest distillation of cross-generational trauma that I’d heard in a pop song in a long time. Or just jokes, luckily, the meme universe came to the rescue, and now this Miami XO song has become one of the defining soundtracks of the early part of 2026. Nope. Yeah, yeah, I go through the whole thing. I’m you literally from the start. You start. Another item? Yeah, yeah. I was about to get a really good shot of the city. So bazooka is one of the most durable meme songs in recent memory. I first encountered it at the beginning of the year, and initially, it wasn’t clear if it was one of the purest distillations of multi generational trauma that I had heard in a pop song in a really long time. Or if it was just jokes. But pretty quickly the meme universe came to the rescue and made clear that this Miami XO song is already going to be part of the soundtrack of the early part of 2026, to be honest. Yeah yeah yeah yeah, we’re just not like those bands. The jacket, my jacket. You want me to, put it somewhere else like that? Facing you? Yeah. It just don’t like it. No, no, no, no, I know, I’m just trying to figure out how I can maybe do it with both. Like that. Okay. Oh. Let’s let’s let’s move. On. Those those. Kaboom. Cube black. Okay, good. So, bazooka in just a few weeks has become kind of one of the most durable meme songs in recent memory. I first encountered it right after the beginning of the year, and when I heard it, I wasn’t entirely sure if it was maybe the purest distillation of cross-generational trauma that I had heard in a pop song in quite some time, or if it was just jokes. But the meme universe came to the rescue and made it clear that from wall to wall remix to remix, comedy skit to animation, skit bazooka is one of the most dark and redacted lots that. I just think it’s because this it’s going naturally away from my neck. So I put it lower. Now that’s. You want to? Maybe something on the end of the boat. Yeah, yeah. I’m gonna do it on the way back. Because on the off chance. Yeah, yeah yeah yeah. I figured, I. And maybe you want to do something. Nah, that’s two fun. You want to do something? To get some insights elsewhere. Yeah. You know, I just want to give them, you know, let’s give them some space. Yeah. What if I was, like, crawled over, like, kind of like, n no, like. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Let’s do some things. Yeah. Look at me, look at me. Wow. Okay. Okay. Where? Joe Gunn is taking a call. He says, oh, yeah. Sorry. I’m sorry. Yeah. So whatever the actual answer to that question was, it was quickly taken up as a comic meme. This is a song that seems to lend itself to an exaggerated reaction. On the top, you had. No. All right, well, wait. Told his worth accelerating. Yeah, yeah. There we go. So? So this is a song that kind of lends itself to exaggerated reaction. It has these ethereal, spacey synths that provide the bed for it. But underneath there’s like, this incredibly skittish and nervous drum pattern. And then, of course, there’s the hook. You hear it, and you can’t help but kind of wonder, should I be sad? Should I be smiling? Should I sing along? Maybe from here, yeah. They say here, yeah, yeah. So a few things that a reminds me of in it’s kind of tension. It reminds me a lot of sob Babies pull Up with a stick, which came out ten years ago and had that same kind of intersection of melancholy sweetness and less, and saw babies pull up with a stick, which came out ten years ago and had that same intersection of melancholy and sweetness, and also left you a little bit uncertain of how to feel at the end of it, especially with the video. Also thing. So. Okay. Yeah, also, there’s a moment in this song where I listen to and I think about rumors. Rascal, which is his cover of Rascal Flatts, is there’s a moment where I listen to this song. I think about rumors, rascal, which is his cover of Rascal Flatts super treacly God Bless the Broken Road. And then, of course, there’s Grandma Gets Run Over. Yeah. And then of course, there’s Grandma Got Run Over by a reindeer. In case you want to mourn grandma. One more time in a different style. John Williams, I mean, Grateful Dead. Okay. Just. It’s fine. It just. Okay. We’re good. So as this song started to spread, internet is, Excuse me. So as this song started to spread, internet is. Sorry, you can’t see my phone. Okay, I’ll hold it out. So as this song really started to spread, internet is as internet does. There are versions of bazooka in any style that you can imagine. I’m talking Midwest emo. I’m talking Indian classical. I’m talking John Williams style orchestral song. I’m talking, I’m talking John Williams style orchestral score. I’m talking. Acapella. Grateful that I’m talking. John Williams style orchestral score. I’m talking acapella. I’m talking Grateful Dead. Yeah, one more time. You want to do that and sitting in a different place, or you feel like directing it again here. Sit over there. Like this. So as this. So as this song started to spread, internet is as internet does. There are endless remixes. There are endless remixes, new versions, alternate takes that have been popping up seemingly every day. I’m talking Indian classical. I’m talking Midwest emo. I’m talking John Williams style orchestral score. I’m talking acapella. I’m talking Grateful Dead. In addition to the remixes and new versions, you’ve got poll comedy skits, animations, supercuts from films. This song has become a universal soundtrack of comedic trauma. Okay, here’s a bit of must be like, okay, one more time, I’m filming. Yeah. In addition to all the remixes and new versions you have viral. In addition to the remixes and new versions, you’ve got comedic skits, animations, supercuts of well-known films in short order. Bazooka has become the soundtrack for comedic trauma all over the internet. Okay. How is Miami Czar responding to all this with a seeming amount of good cheer? He’s posted a bunch of videos lamenting how after six years of putting out music, this is the thing that’s breaking him out. He’s posted a video complaining about all the people who post this song without tagging him. It’s taking it in good stead. Do that one more time. Yeah. Oh yeah. How’s Miami XO handling this peacefully? I’d say he’s posted a bunch of videos complaining about everybody who’s used his song without tagging him and lamenting how after six years of putting out music, this kaboom is the song that’s breaking him out. That’s loud. Okay, one of the things I like so much about the high meme ification of this song is that it’s created another viral star. Let’s talk about dancing bones oh seven so this is a middle aged gentleman and Navy veteran who does these kind of interpretive, highly expressive, lot of motion dance videos, sometimes off beat. But he has made a bit of a cottage industry over dancing to this song. I. So I, you know, I just what I was like is that here, I just got distracted. Yeah, yeah. Walk this way. I watch his videos and I think a lot about people who use dance or comedy or music as a way of dealing with pain. I look at these, I look at I’ll do it again. I look at these clips and I think about people who use music or dance or comedy as a way of dealing with pain. When you watch him, you see there’s something inside that’s really, really needing to get out. And he has found a channel through this song and many others at processing whatever it is he’s dealing with. I don’t like that. Okay. But dancing is therapy. Yeah, right. Right. So. So when I watch these videos, I think a lot about people who use dance or music or comedy as a way of dealing with pain. These things are dancing as therapy. It’s something you might do in the middle of your workday to, like, let off some steam. He has videos dancing with this song in a car dealership and a chick fil A, of course, in his living room. It’s a real reminder that when you’re going through something, sometimes all you can do to get to the other side is dance or laugh or I don’t have anything else to say. I was so close. Yeah, that’s not the main point. No, no, no. And I can say it’s just dance therapy. It’s the therapy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And so when I watch his videos, I think a lot about people who use dance or comedy or music as a way to process pain. This guy. This guy. Dance, dance. Okay. And so when I watch these videos, I feel a little bit relieved to know that there are people out there who are music to comedy, to dancing as therapy. Where do you think people. No, no, no, I want to take out the Pryor thing. I don’t want to repeat that. This was in lieu. You said shorter. So that was my shorter version. Right. And so Miami Exo and Dancing Bones oh seven have created a sort of super team up music, as comedy, as dancing, as therapy. They’re they’re. Where do the whole thing. Okay, so in just a few weeks, bazooka has established itself as one of the most durable meme records of the year. When I first heard it at the beginning of January, I truly wasn’t sure if this is the purest distillation of cross-generational trauma I have heard. I wasn’t sure if this was the purest distillation of cross-generational trauma that I’d heard in a pop song in a long time, or if it was just the jokes, the meme ecosystem made pretty clear. Pretty quickly that it was here for the laughs. Within weeks, we’ve had remixes, new versions, covers within a week, within weeks, we’ve had covers, remixes, new versions, comedic skits, supercuts of films, animations, all kinds of things. Making it clear no no no no, not that I know that. I think there. Have. Yeah. So whatever. Yeah. So yeah, the songs right here. So whatever the actual. Yeah. So whatever the actual answer to that is, it was quickly taken up as a comic meme. You’ve got remixes, new versions, comic skits, animations, super cuts from films all guarantee all of that. Making clear that. But all of that making clear that bazooka is the soundtrack of trauma. All of that. Making clear that bazooka is the soundtrack of comedic trauma. In 2026. This is a song that lends itself to exaggerated response. So we do like a different angle. Over there. Like that’s. Yeah, yeah. So this. All right. So this is a song that. Real tourist. Real it. So this is a song that lends itself really well to exaggerated a reaction. On the one hand, you have these really ethereal, soothing synths that kind of provide a bed for the record, but underneath there’s this really nervous, skittish drum pattern that feels like it’s choking you at the same time. Underneath, there’s this nervous, skittish drum pattern that kind of feels like it’s grabbing you in real time. And of course, there’s the hook. It’s hard not to hear this hook and laugh a little bit. It’s hard not to hear this hook and be reminiscent about something that went wrong. It was traumatic. It’s hard not to hear this. Look at that. It’s hard not to hear this hook and laugh a little bit. It’s hard not to hear this hook and feel a little bit of sadness about something that you might have gone through. It’s hard not to hear this hook and want to sing along. Let’s take that one more time to hear this hook. And once it’s hard to hear this, I can not want to sing along now, but I want to put the not before. But I think it’s the knot. Not you are hearing. It’s hard to hear this hook. Yeah, yeah yeah, yeah. Okay. Got it. I’ll do it that way. You zoom in there. Like this. All right. It’s hard to hear this hook and not laugh a little bit. It’s hard to hear this hook and not feel a little bit of sadness about something that you might have gone through, and it’s hard to hear this hook and not sing along. Way, way. Clap again. You know. In that way, it reminds me a little bit of sad babies. Pull up with a stick. This is a record that came out in 2016. Really, really dark subject matter. But there’s something about the sweetness of a melody in his voice that left you in this kind of confused, torn state. Obviously, it brought up it also. It also brought up. It also reminded me of rumors rascal, which is cover of the super treacly song by rascal Flatts called God Bless the Broken Road. And then, naturally, it’s hard not to think of Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer. Is that good? Do we do we have that? Yeah. Okay. Okay. Let’s make sweets. Do you want to say anything? Head on about the idea that the song is sort of like playing with people’s expectations about. Like tragedy. I mean, that’s how I feel like I was the lead. Like that. Like the thing. I’m kind of like, I heard it. I didn’t know how to feel. Yeah, I think that’s okay. I think it’s sufficient. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. It’s too windy. All right, I’ll do it. You can hear me. Okay. When it comes to the remixes and new versions, you can get it in. When it comes to the remixes and new versions, you can get bazooka in any style. I’m talking Indian classical. I’m talking John Williams style orchestral. I’m talking Midwest emo. I’m talking acapella. And yeah, I’m talking Grateful Dead. I’m never going to let him do it. Can you just film me from the other direction so the wind does my hair the correct way? Oh come on, man. Yeah. Okay, there’s more behind it. Oh, sorry. We to get so good when it come good. When it comes to the remixes and the new versions, you can get bazooka in any style. I’m talking Indian classical. I’m talking acapella. I’m talking John Williams. When it comes to the remixes and new versions, you can get bazooka in any style. I’m talking Indian classical, I’m talking acapella, I’m talking John Williams orchestral score. I’m talking Midwest emote. And yeah, I’m talking Grateful Dead. I want to start, after the next stop. That’s when I’ll start throwing the flowers. Because if we get kicked off, I just want to get kicked off. That’s how you got my. Okay, let’s do the thing about the meme of, like, him leaning into the comedy and the meme vacation. Okay? How’s Miami XO handling all this? Spread in pretty good spirits. I think he’s posted a bunch of comedy videos of his own, complaining about all the famous people who’ve used the clip without tagging him and lamenting the fact that after many years of putting out music, this song is the one that’s his breakout. One of the things I’ve enjoyed the most about the high mummification of bazooka is that it actually created another viral star. I’m talking about dancing bones oh seven. This is a middle aged guy who posts dance videos as kind of a sense of personal joy and relief, and bazooka has become something of a muse for him in the last few weeks. He’s dance to it in a chick fil A, he’s dance to it in a car dealership. And yeah, he dances to it over and over again in his own home. And when I think about the Miami Exo dancing bones oh seven Alliance, it’s really kind of a relief to me when I think about the line for music. It’s a comedy to dance to therapy. That’s good. That’s a good ethic. That’s better. Oh, I wanted to. I wanted you to get me happy. Good. Okay. You got it. Well, here we go. It’s not falling over the side. We got to deal with it. You make your move back, do that. Do the kicker one more time, because I think it’s good, but I feel like just. Yeah. Yeah, sure. Yeah, yeah. Just for Miami the Miami backs. How about dancing. One of those have an alliance hairs okay. I’m trying to go by your standards but also like mad with. It’s a little bit. When I think about the Miami exo dancing bones oh seven Alliance, it kind of gives me a little bit of hope and thinking about the when I think about the the Syrian, that’s what you get for a fatty. When I think about the Miami exo and Dancing Bones oh seven Alliance, it kind of gives me a little bit of hope. I think, about the promise that’s held in that line between music and comedy and dance and therapy. When I think about them, when I think about the Miami Exo and dancing Bones of Seven Alliance, it kind of gives me a little bit of hope. There are people who are using music and dance and comedy for therapy. Is that a good kick? Yeah. You think? Yeah. It reminds me that. Okay, I got I got it when I had. Yeah. I feel like when I think about the, when I think about the Miami Exo dancing Bones oh seven Alliance, it gives me dance moves. I saw what I said when I think about the Miami Exo dancing bones oh seven Alliance gives me a little bit of hope. There are people who are seeing bazookas music. There are people who are seeing bazooka as comedy. There are people who are seeing bazooka is dance. I think everybody is seeing it as therapy. I think that’s it. Let’s do another day in a different locale, because we’ve been in this chair for a while. Got Daniel Arnold for North Carolina. Oh that’s amazing. That’s going to be saying it’s going to be on unreal. Phenomenal. Rest in peace, Mikey. Around to not be that fast. But I was like, it’s fine to me. Yeah. Before Grand Unified. But soon I think about it every time I look the okay so quickly. Come on. Okay. When I think about the dancing moment, when I think about the Miami exo dancing bones. Oh, no, no, no. What I think about the Miami Exo dancing bones oh seven Alliance. It gives me a little bit of hope. There are people who are seeing bazooka as music. There are people who are seeing bazooka as comedy. There are people who are seeing bazooka dance. But I actually think everybody is seeing it as therapy. With the whole the whole series. Yeah. This girl is going, all right, let me spring in. No time. We got. All right, let’s let’s do this. The weather’s nice, so let’s do this off the back as we’re going down. Let’s do it now. If you get it wrong. What is that garbage? Piling up. Which is. Okay. Had anything to do with a close up on the flowers and tells me. Oh, we got it. Arriving at North Williamsburg right now. The guy that shouted. Out the time, I know, I don’t remember. Now what year? Okay. So we had all that audio. So recording audio. Come up here. You have the scope player now, Heather. And another lifetime. This is the true story of my day. Okay. Look off. Look out into the. And then turn to me and saying. This. Maybe something on the end. Yeah yeah yeah yeah. With, the Chrysler Building. I’m gonna do it on the way back. Because on the off chance. Yeah, yeah. Do you see up here? I think it’s up. Up. Are you. It. Maybe you want to do something. Nice. Do you want to do something? Something in the water. We want you on. We’ll get some insight. Chance later tonight. Yeah? Yeah. No, I just want to get her, you know? Yeah, yeah. I’m like this. Yeah. I thought I was, like, crawled over, like, I like, you know, like. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
