Chris Hemsworth has shared a profound skill he adopted while filming his new movie, Crime 101.<\/p>\n
In an interview with Discussing Film<\/i>, the 42-year-old Australian actor and film producer revealed that working on the film helped him become more efficient at driving.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was fantastic and a lot of fun. One of the best parts of the job is being able to learn a new skill,\u201d Hemsworth said.<\/p>\n
Although he has played a chauffeur in other movies, this role taught him to drive in a way he had never experienced before.<\/p>\n
The Thor <\/i>star admitted that he had never driven a car \u201cto this extent with the sort of aggressive nature that his character drives and there were high speed chases and so there needed to be a messiness to it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hemsworth also shared that the film\u2019s director, Bart Layton, wanted the driving scenes to look natural rather than rely on computer-generated imagery (CGI).<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was important to the director for it to be the case that it\u2019s not stunt drivers and green screens, just getting out there on the streets of LA, we don\u2019t tend to see that anymore,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
According to the official synopsis, the crime film centers around a \u201cstar thief and an insurance broker join forces for a big heist, while a determined detective pursues them to prevent the multi-million dollar crime.\u201d<\/p>\n
Crime 101<\/i>, starring Chris Hemsworth, Monica Barbaro, Barry Keoghan, Halle Berry, Mark Ruffalo, and more was released on February 13, 2026. It has currently grossed $28.3 million worldwide on a budget of $90 million.<\/p>\n
