After spending two years trying to figure out what was causing the disfigurement<\/a> in her face, Brandi Glanville<\/a> finally has answers.\u00a0The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/a><\/em> alum told TMZ<\/a> on February 17 that the parasite on her face was caused by ruptured breast implants, which she got almost 20 years ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cI completely ruptured and had silicone all over my lymph nodes,\u201d Glanville explained. \u201cThat\u2019s what caused the infection in my face and it couldn\u2019t get out because my lymph nodes were all clogged.\u201d<\/p>\n

Glanville started noticing swelling and changes in her face after a vacation to Morocco for\u00a0The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip<\/a><\/em>. In July 2024, she began publicly sharing updates about her disfigurement. At the time, she believed the condition was due to stress, and also briefly wondered if it was caused by something she ate in Morocco.<\/p>\n

By December 2024, Glanville revealed that some doctors theorized that she had a parasite jumping around her face. At one point, she told fans that the parasite resembled \u201ctiny bubbles bursting\u201d under her skin, adding, \u201cI feel like it\u2019s s**tting or having babies in my face.\u201d She spent years in and out of hospitals and saw 21 doctors before finally getting answers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is such a thing as breast implant illness,\u201d Glanville told TMZ, adding that mammograms showed nothing wrong with her implants, and it wasn\u2019t until she got a sonogram that she\u2019d learned they\u2019d ruptured. \u201cYou really should change your breast implants after 10 years, and I just didn\u2019t do it. \u2026 I learned a really, really hard lesson.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, Glanville is in the process of fixing things. \u201cThe doctor is doing lasers and different things because it just sucks to age 20 years overnight,\u201d she explained, adding that she recently had her breast implants taken out. \u201cI feel great,\u201d Glanville continued. \u201c[The doctor] is like, \u2018Rest.\u2019 I\u2019m like \u2026 I can\u2019t rest! I\u2019ve been home for three years!\u201d<\/p>\n
