Police are probing royal protection officers assigned to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor as part of their \u201cinitial inquiries\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It comes amid claims that teams from the Royalty and Specialist Protection (RaSP) \u201cturned a blind eye\u201d during visits to Epstein\u2019s island, reports The Sun<\/a><\/i>.<\/p>\n

One unnamed protection officer claimed teams travelled with Andrew to the private island at least twice.<\/p>\n

They claimed on one occasion, the group used Epstein\u2019s private jet, the \u201cLolita Express\u201d.<\/p>\n

Speaking to radio station LBC<\/a><\/i>, they said: \u201cThe big question for me is what Andrew\u2019s protection team witnessed on Epstein Island.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not suggesting they definitely witnessed any criminality from Andrew \u2026<\/p>\n

\u201c \u2026 but there was concern that certain members of the royal protection team wilfully turned a blind eye to what was happening on the island.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Metropolitan Police is one of several forces assessing evidence in the Epstein files as part of a nationwide probe co-ordinated by a team of British police chiefs.<\/p>\n

Their checks include up to 90 flights into Stansted\u2019s private terminal by the jet owned by Andrew\u2019s paedo mate.<\/p>\n

Of those, 15 were after the US financier was jailed in 2008 for soliciting underage sex.<\/p>\n

Ex-British prime minister Gordon Brown said messages contained in the Epstein files linked Andrew, 65, to at least one victim who was flown into Stansted Airport.<\/p>\n

After allegedly arriving via the \u201cLolita Express\u201d, she was then sneaked into Buckingham Palace.<\/p>\n

Essex Police are now examining flight logs and emails, while Bedfordshire Police are understood to be looking at Luton flights.<\/p>\n

At least five other forces have either launched criminal investigations or are assessing evidence within the files\u2019 three million pages.<\/p>\n

Last week, royal protection officer Paul Page accused the shamed ex-duke of preventing official logs recording the names of his guests.<\/p>\n

Sources told The Sun<\/i> a string of young women were invited to the palace by Andrew \u2013 and he had a specific passphrase make sure they were let in.<\/p>\n

Andrew is thought to have told them: \u201cMrs Windsor will arrive shortly, please let her in and show her up.\u201d<\/p>\n

The disgraced royal\u2019s coded requests over several years exasperated staff, who were forced to admit his visitors with little or no security clearance.<\/p>\n
