NBC<\/a> has found another lead actor for one of its pilots.<\/p>\n

Former 911 star Peter Krause<\/a> has boarded Protection<\/a>, a drama about a law enforcement family targeted by a killer. He\u2019ll play Mike Thornhill, a former Secret Service agent who\u2019s now an assistant director of intelligence.<\/p>\n

NBC has been on a casting run in the past week, also signing David Boreanaz<\/a> (The Rockford Files<\/a>), Damon Wayans Jr.<\/a> (Puzzled) and Emily Deschanel<\/a> (an untitled drama about a criminal profiler) to lead roles in pilots. There\u2019s also an odd trend developing with NBC\u2019s casting: All four drama leads, plus Jane Lynch<\/a> in a comedy pilot, were series regulars on Fox shows in the 2010s.<\/p>\n
