MINNESOTA \u2013 The Irish rock band, U2, which often writes songs about political and social issues, have released a new song in honor of Renee Good.<\/p>\n

The song is called \u201cAmerican Obituary\u201d.<\/p>\n

It was part of a new EP called Days of Ash\u00a0<\/em>released on February 18, 2026.<\/p>\n

In announcing the EP release lead singer Bono said, \u201cThe songs on Days of Ash are very different in mood and theme to the ones we\u2019re going to put on our album later in the year. These EP tracks couldn\u2019t wait; these songs were impatient to be out in the world. They are songs of defiance and dismay.\u201d<\/p>\n
