Jonny Greenwood<\/a> has spoken about chances of new Radiohead<\/a> material \u2013 adding that he was \u201csurprised\u201d the band enjoyed their comeback tour<\/a> so much.<\/p>\n In a new interview with\u00a0The Telegraph<\/em><\/a>, the guitarist spoke about the band\u2019s first shows in seven years, which consisted of four-night residencies in each of Madrid, Bologna, London, Copenhagen and Berlin<\/a> last November and December. The tour\u00a0saw them play in the round<\/a>, picking from a range of 65 songs every night<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was great to revisit songs that we always felt were good and to find lots of other people now agree with us,\u201d Greenwood told The Telegraph<\/em>. \u201cAnd it was really nice to be playing and listening to Thom [Yorke] again. But I found it strange not to be doing anything new on the tour.\u201d<\/p>\n He then addressed speculation that Radiohead might release new music,<\/a> as the band haven\u2019t released music since their 2016 album \u2018A Moon Shaped Pool<\/a>\u2018.<\/p>\n Greenwood acknowledged that all members are \u201cdoing new music elsewhere now\u201d \u2013 with the guitarist nominated for an Oscar<\/a> for scoring One Battle After Another<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n He went on to say that he had \u201cno idea\u201d whether Radiohead might release new material.\u00a0\u201cI mean, I\u2019m surprised that the tour actually happened and that we all enjoyed it so much,\u201d he said. \u201cBut venues get booked so far in advance. To do another we would have to decide now, and even then it wouldn\u2019t happen for 18 months.\u201d<\/p>\n
