Yungblud has officially confirmed the long-anticipated second chapter of his ambitious concept project, Idols. The new instalment will arrive digitally on Friday (20.02.26), featuring six fresh tracks plus a collaborative version of the Grammy-nominated Zombie with The Smashing Pumpkins.<\/p>\n
\nBuilding on the huge impact of the first Idols release, the 28-year-old rocker has also unveiled the title of the new era\u2019s lead single. The lead single, Suburban Requiem, will get a visualiser tomorrow.<\/p>\n
\nReflecting on how the project has evolved, Yungblud described the album as a powerful continuation of his personal journey.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cThis is it \u2014 the second chapter of the Idols story.<\/p>\n
\n\u00a0\u201cPart 1 helped me reclaim who I was at the lowest point of my life. Part 2 is about recognising that I survived it. It\u2019s about feeling alive, feeling real, and understanding that you can become invincible when you finally feel yourself. It\u2019s realising my heart\u2019s still beating and my lungs are still filling with air.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAlongside the digital release \u2014 now available to pre-order \u2014 fans will also be able to get their hands on a range of physical editions later this year. These include a Yungblud-store-exclusive Idols (Complete) 180g 2LP audiophile vinyl and CD, featuring all 19 tracks from Idols and Idols II, plus a silver-transparent Idols II vinyl with brand-new cover art.<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Yungblud recently hinted he could soon collaborate with one of his idols, Eddie Vedder.<\/p>\n
\nThe musician – whose real name is Dominic Harrison – looks set to write music with the Pearl Jam frontman.<\/p>\n
\nThe Abyss hitmaker told Rolling Stone: “Eddie\u2019s such an inspiration to me, especially vocally:<\/p>\n
\n“I think we might write together in the future.”<\/p>\n
\nIn December, Yungblud was pictured alongside Eddie and several other stars, including Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis, singer Bruno Mars, and singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile at New York’s Capitol Theatre.<\/p>\n
\nThe quartet were in town to play alongside guitar icon Slash at his star-studded private show for holding company Eldridge Industries.<\/p>\n
\nDuff McKagan, Chad Smith and Andrew Watt were also part of the core line-up on the night, alongside Slash, and they performed as The Dirty Bats.<\/p>\n
