A group of eight Democratic U.S. senators sent a letter to David Ellison<\/a>, chairman and CEO of Paramount Skydance<\/a>, asking that he \u201cpreserve all records related to the proposed Paramount<\/a>–Warner Bros.<\/a> Discovery transaction\u201d \u2014 and demanding answers about how his company has interacted with President Trump<\/a> and the White House in its hostile takeover bid of Wbd.<\/p>\n

The letter was sent to Ellison<\/a> by Sen. Cory Booker<\/a> (D-N.J.<\/a>), Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer<\/a> (D-n.Y.), Minority Whip<\/a> Dick Durbin<\/a> (D-Ill.), and Sens. Amy Klobuchar<\/a> (D-Minn.), Elizabeth Warren<\/a> (D-Mass.), Richard Blumenthal<\/a> (D-Conn.), Mazie Hirono<\/a> (D-Hawaii) and Peter Welch<\/a> (D-Vt.). A spokesperson for Paramount Skydance declined to immediately provide comment.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Warner Bros. Discovery<\/a> said it will engage in discussions with Paramount for a seven-day window to \u201cseek clarity\u201d on its \u201cbest and final offer\u201d in its hostile takeover effort.<\/p>\n
