Jonny Greenwood<\/a> of Radiohead<\/a> discussed the band\u2019s recent comeback tour<\/a>, noting that he was \u201csurprised\u201d the tour even happened and went so well. He also addressed the status of a new Radiohead album.<\/p>\n Speaking to\u00a0The Times<\/em><\/a>, Greenwood expressed gratitude at the chance to return to Radiohead material for their brief 2025 European tour. \u201cIt was great to revisit songs that we always felt were good and to find lots of other people now agree with us,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd it was really nice to be playing and listening to Thom [Yorke] again.\u201d However, Greenwood noted that it was strange to be on tour with Radiohead and not play any new songs. \u201cI found it strange not to be doing anything new on the tour. I guess we are all doing new music elsewhere now so that\u2019s where our creative energies are going.\u201d<\/p>\n Regarding the possibility of a new Radiohead album, Greenwood said he has \u201cno idea.\u201d \u201cI mean, I\u2019m surprised that the tour actually happened and that we all enjoyed it so much,\u201d he said. \u201cBut venues get booked so far in advance. To do another we would have to decide now, and even then it wouldn\u2019t happen for 18 months.\u201d So while a follow-up to 2016\u2019s A Moon Shaped Pool\u00a0<\/em>will have to wait, it\u2019s nice to hear that according to Greenwood, they all had a good time being back on the road.<\/p>\n Related Video<\/p>\n In addition to discussing his Oscar-nominated score for\u00a0One Battle After Another<\/em><\/a>, Greenwood also touched on<\/a> the controversies around his collaboration with\u00a0Israeli singer Dudu Tassa and his performances in Israel<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s very hard to talk about this,\u201d Greenwood said, \u201cbut I think music and art should be above and beyond political concerns\u2026 If I\u2019m supposed to stop working with musicians because I dislike their governments then I wouldn\u2019t work with any of them. The fact is, what defines us as musicians isn\u2019t our nationalities.
