During the 38th annual Premio Lo Nuestro, Xavi dedicated his award for the Mexican Music – Fusion of the Year category to immigrants.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cQuiero aprovechar este momento para dedicar este premio a nuestra gente inmigrante,\u201d he said in Spanish<\/a>. \u201cRecuerden, Dios tiene un plan para nosotros. No est\u00e1n solos. \u00a1Venimos a quedarnos y que viva M\u00e9xico!\u201d<\/p>\n

(I want to take a moment to dedicate this award to our immigrant people. Remember, God has a plan for us. You are not alone. We came here to stay. Long live Mexico!)\u00a0<\/p>\n

He was the winner for his song \u201cNo Capea\u201d with Grupo Frontera.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Romeo Santos walked back some of the statements he made during a New York Times podcast<\/a> (around minute 50) that artists should stick to music when it comes to talking about politics.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Santos won the Tropical Artist of the Year award, and during his speech, he stated that no department or organization that harms the Latino community can earn his respect. He did not mention any specific organization.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The award show was hosted by Thalia, Nadia Ferreira and Clarissa Molina.<\/p>\n

It was broadcast live on Univision, UNIM\u00c1S and Galavisi\u00f3n in the United States and streaming on ViX across most countries in Latin America.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bad Bunny emerged as the night\u2019s top winner, taking home six awards, including the Premio Lo Nuestro Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (\u201cDTMF\u201d), Album of the Year (Deb\u00ed Tirar M\u00e1s Fotos), Urban \u2013 Male Artist of the Year, Pop\/Urban \u2013 Song of the Year (\u201cDTMF\u201d), and Tropical \u2013 Collaboration of the Year (\u201cCaf\u00e9 Con Ron\u201d with Los Pleneros De La Cresta).<\/p>\n

Car\u00edn Le\u00f3n followed with five major wins: \u201cCrossover\u201d Collaboration of the Year (\u201cLost in Translation\u201d with Kacey Musgraves), Pop\/Rock \u2013 Song of the Year (\u201cVivir Sin Aire\u201d with Man\u00e1), Mexican Music \u2013 Male Artist of the Year, Mexican Music \u2013 Song of the Year (\u201cEl Amor de mi Herida\u201d), and Mexican Music \u2013 Collaboration of the Year (\u201cSi T\u00fa Me Vieras\u201d with Maluma).<\/p>\n

Karol G secured three awards, earning Urban \u2013 Female Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (\u201cLatina Foreva\u201d), and Urban \u2013 Collaboration of the Year (\u201c+57\u201d with Feid, DFZM, Ovy on the Drums, J Balvin, Maluma, Ryan Castro, and Blessd).<\/p>\n

Maluma also claimed three trophies: Urban \u2013 Collaboration of the Year (\u201c+57\u201d alongside Karol G, Feid, DFZM, Ovy On The Drums, J Balvin, Ryan Castro, and Blessd), Pop \u2013 Male Artist of the Year, and Mexican Music \u2013 Collaboration of the Year (\u201cSi T\u00fa Me Vieras\u201d with Car\u00edn Le\u00f3n).<\/p>\n

Yuridia also received three awards, including Best Female Combination \u2013 (Brujer\u00eda with Majo Aguilar), Mariachi\/Ranchera Song of The Year (Sin Llorar), and Mexican Music – Album of The Year (Sin Llorar).<\/p>\n

Arc\u00e1ngel was recognized with the Premio Lo Nuestro Urban Icon Award. He also performed with Feid their song \u201cM\u00edrame Baby.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Juanes received the Lifetime Achievement Award and delivered a career-spanning medley of his biggest hits, including \u201cLa Camisa Negra,\u201d \u201cEs Por Ti,\u201d \u201cNada Valgo Sin Tu Amor,\u201d and \u201cA Dios Le Pido,\u201d while also performing his latest singles, \u201cHagamos Que\u201d and \u201cUna Noche Contigo.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Los Bukis were honored with the Musical Legacy Award, Manolo D\u00edaz was recognized with the Visionary Award and Paloma San Basilio received the Premio Lo Nuestro Award for Excellence.<\/p>\n

Marc Anthony opened the awards with the television premiere of \u201cComo en el Idilio.\u201d He shared the stage for the first time with Nathy Peluso in his first original salsa duet with a female vocalist in more than three decades.<\/p>\n

Cristian Castro joined Matisse for the television debut of their collaboration \u201cConmigo Sin Ti.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kany Garc\u00eda and Maluma performed their hit \u201c1+1.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sebasti\u00e1n Yatra took the PLN stage for the television debuts of \u201cCanci\u00f3n para Regresar,\u201d joined by Gente de Zona and \u201cUna Vaina Bien,\u201d alongside Silvestre Dangond.<\/p>\n

Thalia worked double for the night performing \u201cDancing Queen,\u201d alongside Gracie Bon, Paola Ruiz, Pollito Tropical and Wendy Guevara.<\/p>\n

Codiciado, Gloria Trevi, Ha-Ash, Kybba, Mar, Maria Becerra, Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9, Santos Bravos, Tokischa, Xavi and many more performed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The show closed with Ryan Castro and Kapo delivering their song \u201cLa Villa.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
