in a TikTok video posted Friday<\/a>.<\/p>\nPolizzi, 38, began the video taking followers along for a doctor’s appointment to discuss a recent cone biopsy — a treatment to test cervical cells for early stage cancer.<\/p>\n
She then sat down in her car to share with followers that her biopsy came back confirming she has Stage 1 cervical cancer.<\/p>\n
\u201cObviously not the news that I was hoping for, but also not the worst news just because they caught it so early,\u201d Polizzi said.<\/p>\n\n
Polizzi shared that she struggled with abnormal Pap smears for years leading up to the diagnosis. She said she’ll soon have a PET scan to detect if the cancer has spread to anywhere else in her body, will likely get a hysterectomy to remove her uterus and cervix.<\/p>\n
“Instead of just putting it off because I didn\u2019t want to go and it hurt and I was scared, no, I just went and did it \u2026 cancer\u2019s in there, and it\u2019s only Stage 1 and it\u2019s curable.”<\/p>\n
“2026 is not panning out how I wanted it to, but also, could be worse,” said Polizzi, who shares three children with Jionni LaValle.<\/p>\n
She said she hopes sharing her health journey publicly comforts women going through their own battles with cancer.<\/p>\n
“Let’s comment below on all of us going through this … a lot of women go through it silently, without anyone to talk to.”<\/p>\n
Polizzi also urged followers not to skip their routine appointments.<\/p>\n
“Get your appointments done, b******! I’m telling you,” Polizzi added.<\/p>\n
