Michelle <\/a>Trachtenbe<\/a><\/span>rg’s<\/a> cause and manner of death have been released<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Office of Chief Medical Examiner in New York City, where Trachtenberg<\/a> was found dead early Feb. 26, ruled both the cause and manner of death as undetermined, according to a statement shared Feb. 27 with USA TODAY.<\/p>\n Undetermined can mean either that there was inadequate information to assess how a person died or that the information was conflicting, with equal amounts supporting or negating a specific “manner” of death, such as natural or accidental.<\/p>\n Trachtenberg’s family previously declined an autopsy, and the medical examiner\u2019s office honored that request, per Feb. 27 reports from celebrity.land<\/a> and ABC news<\/a>.<\/p>\n USA TODAY reached out to Trachtenberg’s rep for comment.<\/p>\n Read more: <\/strong>‘Gossip Girl’ star Michelle Trachtenberg died at 39 from complications of diabetes<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n Trachtenberg<\/a> was found unconscious and unresponsive and in her apartment and was determined dead by EMS officials. The NYPD said at the time that no criminal involvement was suspected and the investigation was ongoing.<\/p>\n On April 16, Office of Chief Medical Examiner released a statement announcing the official cause and manner of her death as complications of diabetes mellitus<\/a>. The manner was determined to be natural.<\/p>\n Gary Mantoosh, a representative for Trachtenberg, confirmed her death “with great sadness” in a statement to USA TODAY on Feb. 26. Mantoosh added, “The family requests privacy for their loss.
