Fragrant Nature Film Creations<\/a> is making its first foray into international acquisitions, picking up Indian rights to the Oscar-nominated French animated feature \u201cLittle Am\u00e9lie or the Character of Rain<\/a>\u201d from Paris-based Goodfellas Animation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Kochi, Kerala-based banner acquired all Indian rights excluding airline to the film, which marks the launch of a dedicated acquisitions and distribution arm at the company.<\/p>\n

Helmed by Ma\u00eflys Vallade<\/a> and Liane-Cho Han<\/a>, the Maybe Movies<\/a> and Ikki Films<\/a> production is based on Am\u00e9lie Nothomb<\/a>\u2019s novel \u201cThe Character of Rain\u201d (\u201cM\u00e9taphysique des<\/a> tubes\u201d). The film bowed at Cannes and went on to rack up nominations at the Oscars, BAFTAs, Golden Globes, Annie Awards and Critics Choice Awards in the best animated feature category. It also claimed the Audience Award at Annecy.<\/p>\n
