I am going to be a Duchess&#8217; &#8211; she was almost leaping out of her seat.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>In an interview with Harper\u2019s Bazaar, it was revealed that Meghan gets announced at various events by her royal title.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>During her previous appearances, including at a film premiere in Utah and at the World Mental Health Day Gala in New York, the mother-of-two has been announced as &#8216;Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex&#8217;.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Meghan and Harry have both been criticised for continuing to use their Sussex titles since stepping down from royal duties in 2020.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Speaking to Fox Digital News, British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard previously said: &#8220;It\u2019s bizarre and highlights that Meghan attaches enormous importance to her royal status.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;Meghan will cling to her Duchess of Sussex title because it gives her a sense of importance. The title remains useful for Meghan\u2019s business activities, particularly in the United States. It gets people talking and keeps her in the limelight.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;One thing is for sure \u2014 she certainly keeps giving comedy writers fabulous content. They must be having a field day.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>British royals expert Hilary Fordwich also told the publication: &#8220;This was very intentional.
