Raucous bars, bopping live music and bustling beer gardens are all staples of a stellar night out. If you like those three things all under one roof, Freight Island is for you, an all-singing, all-dancing entertainment complex company with outposts in London<\/a> and Manchester<\/a>. And now it\u2019s been confirmed that a new outpost of the brand is coming to Leeds<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Freight Island is coming to Trinity Kitchen, which is in the city\u2019s central shopping centre Leeds Trinity. The new venue will be part of a \u00a315 million redevelopment of the shopping paradise, with multi-level dining, entertainment, leisure and more.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The new Freight Island venue will make use of a previously unoccupied 15,000 sq ft area above the current Trinity Kitchen. The expanded venue will sprawl over a whopping 63,000 sq ft, including a new outdoor terrace \u2013 which will offer views over the City Square and surely be a hit once the sun reappears in a few months.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We don\u2019t yet have the exact details of what to expect, but judging by Freight Island\u2019s other venues, street-style food stalls, independent bars and plenty of live entertainment will no doubt be part of the package.<\/span><\/p>\n Freight Island\u2019s flagship Manchester spot is home to a selection of bars, restaurants, food trucks, shops and even a bike park, as well as a New York inspired-roller disco and a karaoke spot. Freight Brixton in south London takes inspiration from Mexico and northern Italy, with its tequila-led Casa Amigos bar and craft cocktail hangout Hotel Milano. An upcoming Newcastle spot, meanwhile, will take inspo from New York\u2019s Coney Island and Copenhagen\u2019s legendary amusement park Tivoli Gardens.<\/p>\n Construction on Freight Island Leeds is scheduled to begin in late spring 2026, but Trinity Kitchen will be staying open throughout the work.<\/span><\/p>\n Leeds\u2019 food scene is already one of the most eclectic and exciting in the UK, featuring French bistros, top ramen spots, karaoke pubs serving top class grub and much more (<\/span>check out Time Out\u2019s local restaurant guide here<\/span><\/a>). Food will be central to Freight Island\u2019s new venue in the city, too.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Dan Morris, managing director of Freight Island, said: \u2018Food will remain at the heart of the venue, with menus driven by independent chefs and operators, alongside a programme of DJs, sports, performances, cultural and family events, all with a strong focus on showcasing and supporting local Leeds talent.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n Planning a trip to Leeds?
