The ex-prince\u2019s desperate plea came when he was evicted from the Windsor mansion to Sandringham.<\/p>\n
A royal insider told The Sun on Sunday<\/a><\/i>: \u201cHe refused to leave or take any responsibility.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen he was told to get out he was so arrogant and deluded he repeatedly shouted, \u2018But I\u2019m the Queen\u2019s second son, you can\u2019t do this to me\u2019.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is extraordinary he chose to use the Queen\u2019s name in his defence. tense as Andrew made it clear he \u201cdid not want to leave\u201d.<\/p>\n He was often thought to be Queen Elizabeth II\u2019s favourite child but there are now claims he was her \u201cblind spot\u201d.<\/p>\n Talks were held for months to ease out him and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, with the battle dubbed the Siege of Royal Lodge.<\/p>\n Andrew was arrested this week, on his 66th birthday, on suspicion of misconduct in a public office, related to his time as UK trade envoy from 2001 to 2011.<\/p>\n The Sun reported a South London lockup could become a focus of the police inquiry as some of his Royal Lodge possessions were taken there for storage last month.<\/p>\n The unit, which may also hold Andrew\u2019s vast collection of teddy bears, is protected around-the-clock by guards and CCTV.<\/p>\n On Saturday it emerged an 11th police force \u2014 Hampshire Constabulary \u2014 is assessing information after the Jeffrey Epstein files revealed the paedo\u2019s private jet flew in and 2012, when asked if his jet was in London or Paris, Epstein tells his pilot Larry Visoki: \u201cYes London, Lasham field, by Farnborough\u201d.<\/p>\n The Hampshire force said: \u201cWe take all matters of this nature seriously and will ensure any material brought to our attention is considered thoroughly and appropriately.\u201d<\/p>\n Other forces are looking into allegations Epstein\u2019s plane, dubbed the Lolita Express, landed at airports in their areas.<\/p>\n On Saturday a Waitrose van turned up at Wood Farm, Sandringham, where Andrew is staying before his retirement to Marsh Farm.<\/p>\n In King\u2019s Lynn, two of his security men were seen carrying boxes of lager and Sainsbury\u2019s groceries, including Soba chilli cup noodles.<\/p>\n It is understood the King is privately funding Andrew\u2019s exile and home as he did not want to burden anyone else.<\/p>\n His younger brother has yet to comment on his eviction, or arrest by Thames Valley Police.<\/p>\n Some insiders say Andrew does not have the funds for his retirement after not being able to work or get Sovereign Grant money since stepping down from official duty in 2019 after his Newsnight<\/i> interview.<\/p>\n But he is entitled to receive an annual \u00a37000 ($13,380) State Pension after turning 66 on Thursday.<\/p>\n The King was working at Windsor Castle on Friday but is said to be having a \u201cprivate weekend\u201d.<\/p>\n The Royal Family are expected to continue with planned engagements this week while Andrew remains under police investigation.<\/p>\n On Saturday the Princess of Wales attended the England v Ireland Six Nations game at Twickenham, as patron of the Rugby Football League \u2014 her first appearance since Andrew\u2019s arrest.<\/p>\n He was questioned for up to ten hours at Aylsham police station in Norfolk, with the King saying: \u201cThe law must take its course.\u201d Andrew was released on Thursday evening, with pictures showing him stunned and slumped in the back of a car.<\/p>\n He now faces losing his place as eighth in line to the throne.<\/p>\n The King finally forced him out of Royal Lodge in October after The Sun on Sunday<\/i> revealed he had lied when claiming to have cut off contact with Epstein.<\/p>\n Sources deny it is a case of \u201cKeep calm, carry on\u201d for the royals, but point to the King\u2019s written statement issued within hours of Andrew\u2019s arrest.<\/p>\n Charles wrote: \u201cMy family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all.\u201d<\/p>\n A public broadcast addressing the Andrew crisis has not been ruled out but one is not currently being planned, it is understood.<\/p>\n Aides believe it best for royals to maintain a full working diary.<\/p>\n A string of engagements are due amid the police investigation.<\/p>\n Next month the King will host the President of Nigeria at Windsor Castle, with Kate and William expected to attend.<\/p>\n The royals are expected out in force for an Easter Sunday service at the castle.<\/p>\n There will be commemorations marking what would have been Queen Elizabeth II\u2019s 100th birthday on April 21.<\/p>\n That month Charles and Camilla are to fly to Washington DC to meet US President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n Royal expert Sandro Monetti said: \u201cThe dark shadow of Epstein looms large over the royal visit to the US honouring the 250th anniversary of American independence.\u201d<\/p>\n Andrew has always denied allegations related to sex abuse accuser Virginia Giuffre.<\/p>\n Yet there has been no response regarding new revelations in the Epstein files, released three weeks ago.<\/p>\n All attempts to contact Andrew\u2019s office since have gone unanswered.<\/p>\n Buckingham Palace declined to comment.<\/p>\n Yesterday Ghislaine Maxwell\u2019s brother Ian said she\u2019s the \u201cfall guy\u201d for her ex-lover Epstein\u2019s crimes.<\/p>\n \u201cSomebody had to pay the price, so the government and the media chose her,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cI genuinely believe that if Epstein were alive, he would be incarcerated and she would be free.\u201d <\/p>\n Ian also defended Andrew, saying he had acted
