It\u2019s a photo that will haunt Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor for the
\nrest of his days\u2014and will likely haunt the British Royal Family
\nforever\u2014and now activists have decided it belongs in the
\nLouvre.<\/p>\n

Activists from the \u2018Everyone Hates Elon\u2019 group hung the photo of
\nAndrew Mountbatten-Windsor after his release from a police
\ndetention centre in Norfolk on Thursday evening, following his
\narrest earlier in the day on suspicion of misconduct in public
\noffice. He was released nearly 12 hours after arrest, under
\ninvestigation.<\/p>\n

On the \u2018Everyone Hates Elon\u2019 Instagram account, a video shows an
\nactivist hanging the photo with a caption underneath that reads
\n\u201cHe\u2019s sweating now,\u201d<\/em> the headline on the cover of The
\nSun<\/em>\u2019s Thursday evening edition.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey say
\n\u2018hang it in the Louvre\u2019. So we did,\u201d<\/em> the caption on the Instagram post reads<\/a>. The
\ngroup later provided a statement to the media, saying, \u201cWe
\nthought we\u2019d show the former Prince Andrew how the world will
\nremember him by putting up this iconic arrest photo at the
\nLouvre.<\/em><\/h5>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s hope this is just the start. Justice for all Epstein
\nsurvivors.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The photo and caption hung for only 15 minutes before staff at
\nthe Louvre removed it.<\/p>\n

When Andrew\u2019s release photo was first published on newspaper
\ncovers around the world, Lydia
\nStarbuck, Royal Central\u2019s editor-in-chief wrote how, despite its
\nrecency<\/a>, \u201cit is already one of the most famous pictures of
\nroyalty ever taken and it has a place in the history books of the
\n21st<\/sup> century, for all the wrong reasons.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cFor this one image captured the fall from lofty heights of
\na former prince who some have claimed was always rather assured of
\nhis royal importance.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was forced to quit Royal Lodge, his
\nlong-time Windsor home for a more modest lodging on the Sandringham
\nestate. Police continue to search his former home, while searches
\nat Sandringham have concluded.<\/p>\n

He had been stripped of all titles and styles earlier this year
\nby King Charles, and is now known simply by his birth name, and is
\nalso
\nfacing the prospect of an act of Parliament to remove him from the
\nline of succession<\/a>. He is currently eighth in line to the
\nthrone, and an act of Parliament would require the agreement of all
\nCommonwealth realms where King Charles is head of state to take
\neffect.<\/p>\n

King Charles said in a statement that \u201cWhat now follows is
\nthe full, fair and proper process by which this issue is
\ninvestigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate
\nauthorities.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIn this, as I have said before, they have our full and
\nwholehearted support and co-operation. Let me state clearly: the
\nlaw must take its course.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
