SEEK HARBOUR<\/strong> have released a new music video!<\/p>\n The UK alternative rock\/post\u2011hardcore outfit have unveiled their latest single The Witness<\/strong>, which marks the beginning of the band\u2019s next release cycle following the lineup change that introduced new vocalist Aimee Allin<\/strong> and the release of their recent EP Versus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Speaking about the new single, vocalist Aimee Jade Allin<\/strong> says, \u201cour latest release, The Witness<\/strong>, is a confession written for anyone trying to escape a past version of themselves. At some point in our lives, we all make mistakes or become people we no longer recognise, and we want to change. But often, we feel stuck in our own shadow \u2014 a place that can feel deeply isolating and, in my experience, almost dooming. There\u2019s a certain existential dread that comes with self-improvement, and we wanted to show listeners that they aren\u2019t alone in feeling this way. There is always time to become a better person, and sometimes that means being willing to let go of our own ego. It\u2019s never too late.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Adding his perspective, vocalist Edwin Matthew Hall<\/strong> says, \u201cThe Witness<\/strong>, from my perspective, was written about hiding your true self behind a mask \u2013 a subject I think many people can relate to. It\u2019s about not showing who you truly are, instead disguising yourself as an exaggerated version of who you think you should be: the clown who\u2019s always joking, the one who acts reckless, or the one who may often lead with anger. Sometimes it\u2019s not even a choice. Sometimes you don\u2019t have the strength to be confidently yourself \u2013 the mask takes over completely. Worn through emotions like feeling beaten down, scared, lonely, or countless others \u2013 while you continue to put on an act. This track is about finally finding peace in the understanding that all of those di\ufb00erent parts of you are what actually make you \u2013 you. It\u2019s about abandoning the masks and accepting yourself for who you are, with pride and confidence.
