Yet the Los Angeles native was also a respected session musician switching between his primary instrument and the bass guitar \u2013 playing for piano virtuoso Patrice Rushen, funk master Maurice White from Earth Wind &amp; Fire and other prominent musicians during the \u201880\u2019s. As his career progressed, Albright was at the forefront of the contemporary jazz era packing lots of funk and soul for almost four decades, complete with many Billboard Top 20 placements.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/5kLlBwIo17o?si=hAPzNL01h78Svk3n\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>On his upcoming E.P., <strong><em>Hot Chocolate<\/em><\/strong>, the funk is very present, demonstrated on the current radio single, \u201cMore Than Enough\u201d (Bright Music) where Albright happens to balance his soulful saxophones and touches of flute, still flexing his dexterity on bass guitar.
