EXCLUSIVE:<\/strong> 3388 Films has picked up North America and a slew of other rights to Minh Beta\u2019s Scent Of Pho<\/em>, which is currently on release in Vietnam over the country\u2019s Tet Lunar New Year holidays.<\/p>\n The film is being lined up for a mid-March release in North America. 3388 Films will also release the film across Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Filmed in Hanoi\u2019s Old Quarter, it also features a ph\u1edf festival sequence and took advice on the cooking scenes from V\u0169 Ng\u1ecdc V\u01b0\u1ee3ng, founder of the Ng\u1ecdc V\u01b0\u1ee3ng ph\u1edf chain, to ensure authenticity.<\/p>\n The soundtrack includes traditional Vietnamese music, as well as a mashup between modern rap and\u00a0Xu\u00e2n Hinh\u2019s x\u1ea9m performance, produced by music producer Christian Dinh Gulino, who has worked with global artists including Sam Smith and Jessie J.<\/p>\n Minh Beta is the founder of Beta Group, which operates a highly successful chain of affordable theatres across Vietnam, as well as producing and investing in Vietnamese content.
