After going head to head with\u00a0Wuthering Heights<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in recent weeks, Sony\u2019s latest\u00a0animated release<\/strong>\u00a0has edged ahead, shifting the\u00a0domestic rankings<\/strong>\u00a0as February winds down.<\/p>\n According to Variety<\/a> and Box Office Mojo<\/a>, Sony\u2019s animated film GOAT unseated Wuthering Heights at the domestic box office, earning $17 million from 3,863 theaters over the Feb. 20 to 22 weekend. The film declined 36% from its debut, while Wuthering Heights followed with $14.2 million from 3,682 venues, marking a 57% drop in its second frame.<\/p>\n GOAT has generated $58.3 million domestically and $102.3 million worldwide against an $80 million production budget. Internationally, it added $17 million from 51 territories, bringing its overseas total to $44 million. The United Kingdom leads with $14.5 million, followed by Mexico with $3.4 million and France with $3 million.<\/p>\n Director Emerald Fennell\u2019s Wuthering Heights has grossed $59.5 million in North America and $91.7 million internationally. The film has reached $151.7 million worldwide against an $80 million production budget. The film collected $26.3 million from 76 overseas markets over the weekend, ranking No. 1 internationally. Its top foreign territories include the United Kingdom with $22.5 million, Italy with $9.4 million and Australia with $8.3 million.<\/p>\n Among new releases, I Can Only Imagine 2 debuted at No. 3 with $8 million from 3,105 theaters and received an A+ grade on CinemaScore exit polls. A24\u2019s How to Make a Killing opened in sixth place with $3.5 million from 1,600 screens.
