Los Angeles\u00a0\u2014\u00a0<\/span>Lily Collins is ready for her reservation at Tiffany\u2019s.<\/p>\n The actor will play Audrey Hepburn in a new movie about the making of the 1961 classic \u201cBreakfast at Tiffany\u2019s.\u201d The film is based on the Sam Wasson book \u201cFifth Avenue, 5 A.M.: Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany\u2019s, and the Dawn of the Modern Woman,\u201d according to Variety<\/a>.<\/p>\n Collins will serve as a producer of film, and Alena Smith, the creator of the Apple TV series \u201cDickinson,\u201d will write the script. <\/p>\n Collins shared on Instagram<\/a> that she has \u201ca lifetime of admiration and adoration for Audrey,\u201d and that the project has been in development for almost 10 years.<\/p>\n \u201cHonored and ecstatic don\u2019t begin to express how I feel,\u201d Collins wrote. <\/p>\n \u201cBreakfast at Tiffany\u2019s\u201d is adapted from Truman Capote\u2019s novella by the same name. The film follows socialite Holly Golightly (Hepburn) and her relationship with Paul Varjak (George Peppard), a writer who moves into her building. The film was nominated for five Academy Awards, including an acting nod for Hepburn. <\/p>\n According to Variety, the film will follow the pre-production of \u201cBreakfast at Tiffany\u2019s,\u201d including Capote\u2019s distaste<\/a> for Hepburn (he wanted Marilyn Monroe to play Golightly). The film\u2019s director, Blake Edwards; costume designer, Edith Head; and Capote will appear as characters in the film, although their casting has not been announced. <\/p>\n Collins is best known for starring in Netflix\u2019s \u201cEmily in Paris,\u201d as well as films including \u201cThe Blind Side,\u201d \u201cLove, Rosie\u201d and \u201cTo the Bone.\u201d Her production company, Case Study Films, will help produce the movie alongside Brian Grazer and Ron Howard\u2019s Imagine Entertainment. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
