Scottish favourites Del Amitri have announced their Past To Present UK Tour 2026, a nationwide run celebrating four decades of songwriting, touring and timeless hits. The extensive tour will see the band revisit every era of their career, with major stops including London\u2019s Roundhouse, Manchester\u2019s Bridgewater Hall and a special run of Scottish shows culminating in a return to their spiritual home at Glasgow\u2019s iconic Barrowland Ballroom.<\/p>\n
Emerging from Glasgow\u2019s indie scene in the late 1980s, Del Amitri quickly established themselves as one of Britain\u2019s most distinctive bands, known for emotionally sharp lyrics and soaring melodic hooks. Their 1989 breakthrough album \u2018Waking Hours’ propelled them into the mainstream thanks to the enduring hit \u2018Nothing Ever Happens,’ beginning a chart run that included fan favourites such as \u2018Always The Last To Know’ and the US Top 10 single \u2018Roll To Me.’ Across six studio albums released between 1985 and 2002, the band sold more than six million records worldwide, cementing a legacy that continues to resonate across generations.<\/p>\n
Following an extended hiatus, founding members Justin Currie and Iain Harvie reunited for a series of acclaimed live performances before returning in 2021 with \u2018Fatal Mistakes,’ their first studio album in 18 years.
