With the web-slinger’s popularity on the rise, Sony<\/a> decided to move forward with its own Spidey-adjacent projects, starting with Venom<\/a> in 2018.<\/p>\n

The movie bombed with fans and critics, but made\u00a0$856.1 million worldwide. The sequels, Venom: Let There Be Carnage<\/a> and Venom: The Last Dance<\/a>, grossed less but were still moderate hits.<\/p>\n
