Jamie Lee Curtis<\/a> <\/strong>is remembering an old flame. The Academy Award-winning actress, like many was shocked to learn about the death of Robert Carradine<\/a> <\/strong>on Monday. The Revenge of the Nerds actor suffered from bipolar disorder for two decades.<\/p>\n Online, Jamie describes him as her \u201cfirst love.\u201d She and Robert co-starred in the 1977 film Joyride. She recalls meeting him on the Dinah Shore Show, which featured a bunch of second-generation actors. Being labelled as a nepo baby for having famous parents were among the things Jamie and Robert knew well. Robert\u2019s parents, John and Sonia Sorel, were both actors. Jamie\u2019s folks, Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, were also well known in the entertainment industry.<\/p>\n From the first time they met, it appears Jamie and Robert had a fondness for one another. On Instagram, Jamie recalls him kissing her live on television. \u201cWe became a little family,\u201d she added when she and Robert began dating. In fact, he went on to feature in the 1980s film The Long Riders alongside Jamie\u2019s husband Christopher Guest.<\/p>\n Following his breakout role in John Wayne\u2019s The Cowboys in 1972, Robert appeared in Mean Streets, Coming Home and Escape From L.A, among others. This century, he was perhaps best known for portraying<\/a> Hilary Duff\u2019s<\/a> onscreen father in the TV series Lizzie McGuire.<\/p>\n Robert\u2019s death has been deemed a suicide at the age of 71. His brother Keith confirmed the sad news.
