Christina Applegate<\/a><\/strong> returned to Jimmy Kimmel<\/strong> Live!<\/a><\/em> this week after not appearing on the late night program in almost 2 years.<\/p>\n After last visiting Kimmel’s show back in March 2024, Applegate once again returned as a guest on the Monday<\/a>, Feb. 23 episode, where she shared all the details about her new memoir, You With the Sad Eyes<\/em>.<\/p>\n \ud83c\udfacSIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox<\/strong><\/a>\ud83c\udfac<\/p>\n Speaking with Kimmel about her new book, which comes out next week, Applegate, 54, got candid about some of the heartbreaking stories she covers in the book, including her tumultuous childhood, her life as an actress and of course, her diagnosis with multiple sclerosis (MS)<\/a>.<\/p>\n “I went through a lot of stuff in my life and in this book, there is some bad stuff that happened to me,” Applegate explained to Kimmel, while describing many of the experiences she writes about in her book as “painful.”<\/p>\n “If you want to read it,” she said addressing the audience, while warning, “I’m so sorry if it’s really tragic to you, but it’s kind of a tragic story about my life.”<\/p>\n “It’s true and it’s what happened,” she added.<\/p>\n The Married…with Children<\/a><\/em> alum was diagnosed with the disease in 2021 while working on the hit Netflix<\/a> series Dead to Me<\/em>.
