Etan Frankel inked a first-look deal with Fox Entertainment on Tuesday<\/a> to develop and produce scripted series across genres, including premium dramas and creator-driven series with global appeal.<\/p>\n

Frankel most recently spent four years under an overall deal at Universal Content Productions, where he served as creator and showrunner of Peacock\u2019s\u00a0\u201cJoe vs. Carole\u201d starring Kate McKinnon. Prior to that, he was showrunner and executive producer on\u00a0\u201cSorry for Your Loss\u201d\u00a0and an EP on\u00a0\u201cGet Shorty,\u201d\u00a0\u201cAnimal Kingdom,\u201d and\u00a0\u201cShameless,\u201d where he wrote for seven seasons. Earlier in his career, Frankel was a writer on\u00a0\u201cFriday Night Lights.\u201d\u00a0He began his professional journey as a playwright after graduating from the Juilliard Playwrights Program.<\/p>\n

He is currently developing Frankel is currently developing \u201cPrism\u201d for Netflix, on which he will serve as showrunner and executive producer along with Rachel Brosnahan, AGBO and Millie Bobby Brown, who will also star in the series.<\/p>\n

Fox Entertainment\u2019s scripted slate includes \u201cAnimal Control,\u201d \u201cGoing Dutch,\u201d\u00a0\u201cBest Medicine,\u201d \u201cThe Faithful,\u201d\u00a0\u201cThe Way Home\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cThe Chicken Sisters.\u201d\u00a0In addition, the company\u2019s unscripted studio is behind \u201cThe Masked Singer,\u201d \u201cI Can See Your Voice\u201d and \u201cName That Tune.\u201d <\/p>\n

The studio also oversees Bento Box Entertainment and its animated comedies \u201cKrapopolis,\u201d \u201cGrimsburg,\u201d \u201cHazbin Hotel\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cUniversal Basic Guys\u201d; entertainment platform TMZ with its tentpole primetime series\u00a0\u201cTMZ Investigates\u201d; and independent film label Tideline Entertainment, whose releases \u201cPonyboi\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cSlanted\u201d were featured at Sundance and SXSW, respectively.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Fox Entertainment oversees culinary and lifestyle content venture Studio Ramsay Global in partnership with chef Gordon Ramsay, whose series include \u201cNext\u00a0Level Chef,\u201d \u201cKitchen Nightmares,\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u201cGordon Ramsay\u2019s Secret Service,\u201d Disney+\u2019s \u201cNo Taste Like Home,\u201d Apple\u2019s \u201cKnife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars\u201d and Netflix\u2019s \u201cBeing Gordon Ramsey.\u201d The partnership also include the next-gen global food brand and entertainment platform\u00a0Bite.\u00a0<\/p>\n
