In a new Instagram selfie<\/a> shared on Feb. 24, Jackman posted a photo of his bedhead curved up at the sides. “When you wake up, look in the mirror, and realize you\u2019ve actually become the character you\u2019ve played for 25 years,” he wrote.<\/p>\nJackman returned to the big screen as Wolverine for the first time since 2017 back in 2024 for his reprisal in Deadpool & Wolverine<\/em>, which also starred Ryan Reynolds.<\/p>\nAt the time, he opened up to PEOPLE about undergoing a physical transformation for the role at 55<\/a>.<\/p>\n\u201cWhen I came back to it, it was really fun and I was thrilled. My body was a little sore at the beginning, but I was thrilled that my body was still responding. And I realized how good it is for your brain. But the hardest bit\u2026the food,\u201d Jackman said.<\/p>\n
He revealed that bulking up through is diet proved to be one of the more challenging parts. \u201cFor me, for my body type, I’m naturally skinny. To get the size on, that’s the hardest bit. That’s the bit that does my head in.\u201d<\/p>\n
