Police say they have left Royal Lodge after former Prince Andrew, now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was arrested.<\/p>\n

In a statement Thames Valley Police confirmed its searches in Berkshire in connection to its investigation into the offence of misconduct in public office have now ended.<\/p>\n

Mr Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on Thursday, February 19, on suspicion of misconduct in public office, spending 11 hours in custody on his 66th birthday.<\/p>\n

This followed allegations that he had shared sensitive information with Jeffrey Epstein during his time as the UK\u2019s trade envoy.<\/p>\n

Detectives continued to search Andrew\u2019s former home, Royal Lodge, in Windsor, Berkshire, over last weekend with searches having continued into this week.<\/p>\n

Speaking today, assistant chief constable Oliver Wright said: \u201cOfficers have now left the location we have been searching in Berkshire.<\/p>\n

“This concludes the search activity that commenced following our arrest of a man in his sixties from Norfolk on Thursday February 19).<\/p>\n

\u201cWe understand the significant public interest in this case and our investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is important that our investigators are given the time and space to progress their work.<\/p>\n

“We will provide updates when it is appropriate to do so, but this is unlikely to be for some time.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former prince has denied any wrongdoing over his links to convicted sex offender Epstein, but has not directly responded to the latest allegations.<\/p>\n
