Las Vegas screamo outfit Roman Candle<\/strong> are striking while the iron\u2019s hot, quickly releasing a new single titled \u201cLady Lazarus<\/strong>\u201c. After taking aim at the downsides of the music industry in last week\u2019s \u201cBite Harder Than You Bleed<\/a><\/strong>\u201c, the band have newly set their sights on misogyny with this latest track. Vocalist Piper Ferrari<\/strong> stated:<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018Lady Lazarus<\/strong>\u2018 is me confronting misogyny head-on and refusing to shrink for anyone.The title comes from the Sylvia Plath<\/strong> poem, and like her, I\u2019m pulling something powerful out of something painful. Lines like \u2018Tender when I wanna be \/ Callous when I have to be\u2019 came from recognizing how women are expected to bend, soften, or apologize just to exist \u2013 but also how we learn to harden ourselves for survival.<\/p>\n When I sing \u2018Give me your dead stare, I eat men like air,\u2019 it\u2019s not about hating men \u2013 it\u2019s about reclaiming the space that was denied to me, the anger I was taught to bury, and the fear I was meant to carry.
