Katherine Short, the daughter of actor Martin Short, has died, a representative for the actor said Tuesday. She was 42.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles police sources told NBC Los Angeles<\/a> that authorities found her at her Hollywood home Monday night after a friend requested a welfare check. The friend hadn’t heard from her in more than 24 hours and was concerned, the station reported.<\/p>\n Officers found a note on the door and Katherine Short inside the home, the station reported. She appeared to have died by suicide, the police sources told the station.<\/p>\n Martin Short\u2019s wife of nearly three decades, Nancy Dolman, died in 2010 of cancer.
