\nIt\u2019s been four long years but Scotland\u2019s legendary, lyrical indie pop songsmiths Trashcan Sinatras are BACK! The original line-up, led by charismatic front man, Francis Reader, release \u2018The Bitter End\u2019, their first new music since 2022 on Tue 24 February 2026.<\/p>\n
A typically taut three minutes of crystal cut, jangle-imbued anthemism, the single comes as they mark 40 years as a band in 2026. Leading lights of Scotland\u2019s observational, literary and frequently romantic guitar music revolution, the Trashcans ignited their long, unhurried journey initially supercharged by the band\u2019s 1990 debut album, Cake and standout hit single, Obscurity Knocks. A further five albums, including their third album, A Happy Pocket, originally released in 1993, yet finding reissue success in 2023 with a return to the UK Official Albums Chart, have emerged in between bursts of international touring.<\/p>\n
