\n\tLegendary Entertainment<\/a> literary boss Deborah Kaufmann<\/a> is joining Israeli studio Sipur<\/a> to run content.<\/p>\n \n\tKaufmann, who brought adaptations of Alchemised <\/em>and Denis Villeneuve\u2019s Nuclear War: A Scenario <\/em>during her Legendary tenure, has joined the Bad Boy <\/em>studio in the newly-created role of Chief of Global Content.<\/p>\n \n\tShe will oversee a multitude of projects in Sipur\u2019s development pipeline, focusing on identifying and championing IP for audiences worldwide, acquisitions, and creative partnerships across film, television and publishing.<\/p>\n \n\tKaufmann has been with Legendary for a decade, rising up to SVP of Literary Affairs. She shaped IP strategy and was involved with the deal for SenLinYu\u2019s Alchemised, <\/em>the book that began life as Harry Potter <\/em>fan fiction, and Annie Jacobsen\u2019s Nuclear War: A Scenario, <\/em>which is being helmed by Dune <\/em>auteur Villeneuve. <\/p>\n \n\tSipur\u2019s credits include Bad Boy, <\/em>which sold globally to Netflix, Hagai Levi\u2019s Etty <\/em>and October 7 doc We Will Dance Again. <\/em>Shari Redstone is chair and recently invested in the studio<\/a>, which has been positioning itself more globally of late<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\tSipur CEO Emilio Schenker said: \u201cWhether in publishing or in film and television, Deborah\u2019s career has been defined by identifying exceptional stories and the people behind them, and ensuring those stories travel powerfully across borders.
