Hilary Duff admitted to intentionally crashing Lindsay Lohan’s Freaky Friday<\/em> premiere as a teenager<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n Duff revealed her feud with Lohan stemmed from their overlapping relationships with Aaron Carter in the early 2000s<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n The two stars reconciled years ago, with Lohan approaching Duff at a club to make amends<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Hilary Duff <\/a>is answering all of our early aughts burning questions!<\/p>\n The 38-year-old pop star and actress had a well-documented feud with fellow child star Lindsay Lohan<\/a> back in their heyday, and Duff got candid about the drama during the Wednesday, Feb. 25 episode of the Call Her Daddy<\/a> <\/em>podcast.<\/p>\n When host Alex Cooper asked Duff if she \u201cintentionally\u201d crashed the premiere of Lohan\u2019s movie Freaky Friday<\/em> in 2003, Duff replied, \u201cI think absolutely yes. I was a teenager.\u201d<\/p>\n She added that her A Cinderella Story<\/em> costar, Chad Michael Murray<\/a>, who was also the leading man in Freaky Friday, <\/em>scored Duff the invite.<\/p>\n \u201cChad Michael Murray invited me,\u201d she said. \u201cI don’t wanna start any more stuff, But, like, he was like, \u2018You should come with me.\u2019 And I was like, \u2018Mhmm. And when Cooper asked if Duff was \u201csurprised\u201d when Lohan subsequently turned up at the premiere of her film, Cheaper by the Dozen<\/em>, later that year, she replied, \u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, that was, like, my childhood nemesis,\u201d Duff quipped. \u201cI’m sure my publicist will be like, what the f— are you doing? But now it’s so many years later. Like, who cares? It does not matter.\u201d<\/p>\n Lindsay Lohan at the Freaky Friday premiere in 2003. There was no social media to be like, who was dating who?\u201d Duff recalled. \u201cYou just take people\u2019s word for it and then people get mad at you. There was, like, some cute sparks. And then I think I pitched the idea of having him come on the show,\u201d she said of Carter\u2019s appearance on Lizzie McGuire<\/em>. \u201cHe was so cute.\u201d<\/p>\n Duff and Carter dated from 2001 to 2004. She shared a touching tribute to the late musician after his death in 2022.<\/p>\n “I am deeply sorry that life was so hard and that you had to struggle in front of the whole world,” she wrote on in an Instagram post at the time<\/a>. “You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent.”<\/p>\n “Boy, did my teenage self love you deeply,” she added. “Sending love to your family at this time.
