The “Shades of Success” calendar is back with its fourth publication spotlighting professional women with Louisiana roots.<\/p>\n

The project is spearheaded by a group of Black journalists with Louisiana roots who wanted to give back to their community through storytelling and photography, and donate their time and talent to the calendar, according to a news release.<\/p>\n

This year’s honorees work in various fields, including medicine, real estate and journalism. They are recognized for their accomplishments in both their careers and community endeavors.<\/p>\n

The calendar, which in the past has focused on African-American women’s achievements, has expanded to also include Indian-American and Hispanic-American honorees. Photos of each woman along with their biographies fill the calendar.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

This year’s honorees include:<\/p>\n

  • Shenaee’ A. Graves, wellness brand founder and public service professional<\/li>\n
  • Dr. Terri Thompson, assistant vice-president of inpatient nursing at Ochsner Health<\/li>\n
  • Valeria Duque, loan officer<\/li>\n
  • Destiny Beasley, journalist<\/li>\n
  • Shriya Hamilton, model and aspiring aesthetician<\/li>\n
  • Danielle Deggs, Realtor, mortgage lending company owner and construction company leader<\/li>\n
  • Sayra Velazco, Realtor<\/li>\n
  • Mukti Patel, CPA and partner at Hannis T. Bourgeois<\/li>\n
  • Dr. Chatisy Thomas, family nurse practitioner and owner of The Clinic<\/li>\n
  • Dr. Thirumalini Dasari, physician and Mrs. Telugu USA 2025<\/li>\n
  • Marilu’ Suarez, Realtor and construction company owner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

    Additionally, the calendar spotlights two Shades of Success staff members\u00a0\u2014\u00a0editor-in-chief Valentina Wilson, who co-founded The Shades of Success with Virnado Woods; and marketing director Cecily Holland.<\/p>\n
