The star of the new Ryan Murphy<\/a> project Love Story: John F. Kennedy<\/a> Jr. & Carolyn Bessette is officially a dad.<\/p>\n The actor, 37, welcomed his first baby with his production manager wife, Syd Widziszewski-Kelly, sharing the news on The Kelly Clarkson<\/a> Show.<\/p>\n While sharing the stage with Naomi Watts, who plays Jackie O. in the series, Kelly, who stars at John F. Kennedy Jr., settled in for a line of friendly questioning from host and music<\/a> star Kelly Clarkson.<\/p>\n \u201cYou just became a dad!\u201d Clarkson said.<\/p>\n \u201cI did, yeah,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cCongratulations,\u201d Clarkson said.<\/p>\n \u201cThank you so much,\u201d Kelly responded.<\/p>\n Following Clarkson asking Kelly if he\u2019s \u201ctired,\u201d Kelly answered, \u201cA little bit. That\u2019s, like, an understatement for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI know, they don\u2019t sleep for a minute, and it\u2019s fun,\u201d Clarkson quips.<\/p>\n Kelly also confirmed that chatting with Clarkson marks his first time doing a talk show of any kind. The conversation goes on to include Kelly almost quitting acting before landing the leading role in Murphy\u2019s series.<\/p>\n \u201cI was going to move home to Canada and just figure it out,\u201d he said, adding that he\u2019d been trying for his big break in acting for 12 to 13 years.<\/p>\n On a personal level, Kelly has been married to his wife for three years. The couple said \u201cI do\u201d in May 2023, and though they keep their relationship relatively private, Kelly has shared glimpses into their dynamic over the years on social media.<\/p>\n On May 1, 2024, Kelly shared a post celebrating the couple\u2019s wedding anniversary<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cOne year ago we tied the proverbial knot,\u201d he wrote in the caption, \u201cand since that day I have been the happiest and healthiest I think I\u2019ve ever been.
