Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> on Tuesday delayed his show\u2019s taping so that he could respond directly to President Donald Trump<\/a> after the State of the Union speech. But Trump went on for so long \u2015 at 1 hour and 48 minutes it was the longest address to Congress ever \u2015 that Kimmel had to start his show with the address still in progress. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

But the four-time Academy Awards host had some ideas for how to rein in Trump\u2019s speeches. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThey do need to hire an orchestra to play him off like the Oscars,\u201d Kimmel suggested. \u201cAt the stroke of 90 minutes, go straight into \u2018YMCA\u2019 and end it.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He then offered a much shorter take on where the nation stands a little more than one year into Trump\u2019s second term.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
