Dozens of Democratic lawmakers skipped the address entirely in protest of the president and his agenda. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

But as Colbert noted, Jeffries told those who did attend not to make a scene<\/a> during Trump\u2019s speech.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cAn approach he dubbed silent defiance,\u201d Colbert said. \u201cWhich I believe is a bold rebrand of doing jack squat. As Martin Luther King once said, \u2018Shhh.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

But not everyone got the message \u2015 or, if they did, they didn\u2019t abide.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cYou should be ashamed,\u201d Omar called. \u201cYou have killed Americans.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
